Розглянуто широке коло питань, пов'язаних з історією формування та сучасним станом колекції Стародавнього Єгипту, яка зберігається в Одеському археологічному музеї НАН України. Це найбільше в Україні зібрання старожитностей однієї з найвпливовіших держав Давнього Світу, яка залишила глибокий слід в історії світової цивілізації. Відзначено внесок співробітників музею в розвиток української школи єгиптології та поповнення оригінальними матеріалами джерельної бази єгиптологічних досліджень.
