Integer cosine transforms for high-efficiency image and video coding

Matrix methods for constructing one-norm order-8 and -16 integer cosine transforms are considered. One-norm order-8 and -16 integer transforms are proposed and fast algorithms are developed that implement these transforms with a low computational complexity that is less by a factor of 3–5 than the complexity of well-known algorithms and is less by a factor of 10 than that in the H.265 standard. © 2016, Springer Science+Business Media New York.
